Major Goals of the Center
The main goal of the Center is to provide a home for microbiome interested investigators which will foster interdisciplinary interactions. In order to accomplish this goal, we plan to develop coordination opportunities for technology use (e.g., bioinformatics, 16s analyses, metabolomics), provide a forum for interdisciplinary seminars and lectures, provide opportunities for students, trainees and junior faculty members to develop expertise in the microbiome field, and identify and facilitate action on funding opportunities for large scale multidisciplinary research projects.
